Capcom has released some extended new gameplay for Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, its remaster/closer-to-a-remake for 2006’s Dead Rising. It features director Ryosuke Murai going hands-on with the title and pointing out all the new additions and changes. Check it out below.
As previously announced, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is developed from the ground up on RE Engine. While it delivers 4K resolution visuals and 60 FPS, there are also significant improvements to the facial expressions of all characters. There’s also full voice-acting (with support for nine languages), so you’ll hear NPCs like Otis rather than just read their dialogue in some scenes.
Notable changes have also been made to areas of the mall. For example, Paradise Plaza, the main area, now has more of a beachfront feel. It’s also possible to pick up clothes from different stores and change them on the fly (though plenty of optional outfits are also available separately, like in the Digitalsports betting Deluxe Edition). If you’re strapped for time, you can always access the Closet to change into any outfits discovered while playing.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster launches on September 19th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Stay tuned for more details shortly.
